Medical Crusade

For more than 24 years, KOL has preached the gospel in the mountains of Esquipulas. Pastor Jose Alvarez, founder of the ministry, recalls preaching under a tree to the people as they stood on a dusty and sunny road. He told them “God will help us build a refuge of hope, a house of mercy, and a project of love that God will use as the Hospital of the Holy Spirit”.
God fulfilled his promise and helped us to build a place in which physical and spiritual needs are met. Many people arrive sick, sad and depressed. When they leave the building, their faces are full of joy and hope.
It was reported that the director of Esquipulas’ health department said, “it was a great joy to be able to see the patients and know that we had all the medicine needed to take care of their illnesses.” Many of the patients’ lives were transformed because a team of doctors and medical staff who love God. COMMI (Crossroads Outreach Medical Missions International) established a permanent medical clinic to follow up and care for those with chronic diseases.
